If you have QuickBooks Payments, you can take and process payments in QuickBooks. If you see that the payment you recently accepted is on hold, don't worry. You need to review Payment.

Today we'll show you how to find out if a customer's payment is pending and what you can do during the review.

Step 1: Check if payments are pending

Sign in to Merchant Service Center whenever you need to check the status of customer payments.

If you see the word "Withheld" in the Method column, it's on Payment Hold and we're reviewing it.

Step 2: Check Your Email

If a payment is ever held up, QuickBooks will notify you. You will receive an email at the email address you used to sign in to the Merchant Service Center.

Follow the steps in the email as soon as possible. Once we have everything, we can usually complete our review within 2 business days. After review, we can complete the payment process.
